Somewhere in the middle is the [[Recovery Pathway]], which is designed to help make residents feel better each time they walk home and, over time, break down stubborn barriers keeping people from participating in therapy. On the one hand, the experience is so unique that it could not be missed; however, like nearly all other measures, its therapeutic efficacy does not rely on understanding, so while some residents will be aware of how it works and others will not, all will benefit.

A Quiet Place to Thrive

Cloud Nine Studios is a brand new San Diego apartment complex designed specifically to help women with PTSD recover from serious trauma.

Each studio is sized for a single individual but has most of the features of a larger home.

Although these apartments are small, they have several special features that help residents take care of up to three cats.

PLEASE NOTE: In the future, these apartments will be accessible only through women’s support organizations and mental health professionals.

However, for a limited time, they are available to the public.

PTSD is not a requirement, as we need baseline feedback data from women without PTSD as well, but all residents must be quiet and respectful to their neighbors to preserve an effective healing environment.
